Jackson Mahomes, 22, was charged Tuesday with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of battery in Johnson County, Kansas. His bond of $100,000 was posted later Wednesday. An online court hearing was scheduled for May 11 during the judge's brief virtual appearance.
The owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge, Aspen Vaughn, told the newspaper in early March that Jackson Mahomes is friends with her stepdaughter and frequents the restaurant. Earlier that day, he had been there and had been pleasant.
While they were talking in her office about an incident in which he allegedly shoved a member of the wait staff, Jackson Mahomes grabbed her neck with enough force to leave a faint bruise.
“I was forcibly kissed out of nowhere,” she said, describing the advances as shocking and unwelcome.
